Pre-Apprenticeship Program · Cleveland, OH

Build Your Future in the Construction Trades

Prepare for a high-paying union apprenticeship through the Construction Opportunity Institute of Cleveland.

About COIC

Real training. Real trades. A real path in.

The Construction Opportunity Institute of Cleveland exists for one reason: to move people from zero construction experience to a union apprenticeship offer. We run a hands-on pre-apprenticeship built around workforce development, career readiness, and direct relationships with Cleveland's trade unions and contractors.

You won't sit through lectures about construction — you'll do construction, guided by instructors who've spent careers on the tools, so you walk into your union interview already speaking the language of the job site.
